There’s something so enchanting about dried flowers not only in their graceful beauty, but in that they remind us that life is fleeting. Like most of us, I have been slowly processing everything happening in the world over the last few weeks. From learning about Christina Yuna Lee, to the TX anti-trans / FL anti-gay bills, to the eruption of war in Ukraine, we are being pulled to face every issue seemingly all at once. If we can learn anything from dried flowers, I hope it is that we must nourish + tend to one another’s needs so they can reciprocally tend to ours. As humans, we were never meant to operate individually. It is through community (friends, family, peers, and more) that we can ‘water’ one another’s spirit.
