atopfourthwall: rnlaing:lastoneout: Op is denying us the fucking golden replies to this tweet omg When i had breast reduction surgery, i got into the OR and got put on this table that looked like a flat crucifix (arms out so they could get to the girls), and i said ‘god, don’t nail me down’they put the mask on my face and the nurse said ‘no jesus treatment today’and the last thing i said to her was ‘jesus with some big ass titties’ and then passed out. Had surgery at the beginning of 2020 before the pandemic hit - first time I’d ever had any or been knocked unconscious and it was a fascinating experience - IV drip for the job, wheeled me into the surgery chamber and the last thing I remember was looking up at all the lights over the operating table - seemed like something out of a stereotypical horror surgery or old-school surgical theater kind of thing. The next thing I knew, I was waking up, breathing quickly and slightly confused where I was. I recovered quickly, but they did warn me that that could happen. It’s just interesting that lack of transition - going from one area to the next and not realizing it’s happening until you’re suddenly awake again. It’s kind of terrifying in an existential sort of way - almost as if you were missing time, when in reality you were just so asleep you don’t even realize you were falling asleep. When I had swine flu, I was pretty much out of it due to lack of sleep. So I went to a hospital up in the northern part of the state, then woke up in the capital. I had no recollection of them asking me to knock me out but apparently they put me in a coma for 3 days in order to get me to that point. Its just weird what happened in those 3 days. -- source link
