Siberian Miner’s-Lettuce, Claytonia sibirica (Montiaceae). Not as tasty as its perfoliate counterpart, but still edible. The name is Miner’s-Lettuce because early settlers and miners used it in salads. (Not related to garden lettuce, Lactuca sativa in the Asteraceae ). #claytoniasibirica #minerslettuce #plantphotography #plantsofinstagram #naturephotography #plantsplantsplants (at Carnation, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/pnw_botany/p/BxDGwQTF-ZV/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1vd61wnd0jm6 -- source link
