pikajun24: waltdisneyconfessions: “I think it’s important for Disney to make female leads with various body types, ethnicities, and facial features not just for representation, but for people who aspire to be face characters as well. Seeing people resorting to starving themselves, getting plastic surgery, or getting told something like their nose is too big is really sad. They deserve a chance at their dream as much as anyone else.” And maybe different body builds for Disney Princes. Guys can be insecure about their facial feature as well as their weight too. I agree about the “guy” thing for sure. I felt bad for a friend of mine who was Asian and only 5'6" and skinny because there are no Princes at that height range or body type. Luckily enough, Disney is always changing and diversifying, and so when the new Big Hero 6 came out, my friend finally got to have a character. Let’s just say, he loves “hanging with Hiro” now. The same goes for Moana. At least Disney is developing throughout the years and adding new characters with different ethnicities. Who knows what they’ll be adding in the future to their Princess and Princes lineup. -- source link
