Tufted Flycatcher (Mitrephanes phaeocercus), Rucker Canyon, Chiricahua Mountains, Arizona.This spring (2022), southeastern Arizona has hosted two flycatchers which do not regularly occur in the United States. In March, a Nutting’s Flycatcher was detected along Paige Creek on the eastern side of the Rincon Mountains. Shortly after that discovery, a Tufted Flycatcher was found in Rucker Canyon in the Chiricahua Mountains. Both of these are very rare north of the Mexican Border. -- source link
