WEIRD FORMAT WEDNESDAY: SEM AU BOIS SEM Au Bois is a brand new acquisition that we are very excited about.  Georges Goursat, whose pseudonym was SEM, created the piece in 1908.  It is a caricature of members of the Jockey Club of Paris and other well known persons of the time in a processional of carriages. This piece is 30 feet long.  We were only able to unroll half of it.  It will be the centerpiece of our upcoming exhibit Sem, Gigi, and Caricature which opens February 3, 2015.
