What’s to Fear? Many people feel like following their nudist tendencies is like walking into a forest at night, um, well naked. Which is unfortunate. (Really, if you haven’t given night free hikes a try, your missing out!) The practice of nudism or living as a nudist is one of the most positive things we can do. It allows us to accept our bodies and reestablish a self-esteem that is usually missing or diminished in a clothed life. Making us less fearful of other things. Fear, in itself, is not bad. It is natural to fear change and what isn’t understood, goes against established societal values, or is socially accepted as something to be feared. But we shouldn’t live in a constant state of fear. To grow, we must confront our fears and overcome them. If, for some reason, someone is afraid of their body or nudity, they should ask themselves why? Study it, understand the sources and reasons. Not blindly react and think it is bad. When people study their fear of nudity and the body, they usually find that most of their preconceptions were really false assumptions. In fact, it’s commonly the opposite. Our bodes are strong, powerful, and when we accept them, confidence building. So what’s to fear about nudity? Nothing! That’s what. Text by Made in the Nude.
