denimcladveggieburger: At the crossroads of Highways 51 and 49 sat Robert Johnson, a famous musician from Mississippi who allegedly sold his soul to the devil to be a better guitar player. During his life, Johnson recorded with Muddy Waters and after his death (an poisoning accident), went on to have his music covered by artists such as The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton (you know you’ve heard the 60’s tune “Crossroads” by Cream). So, if this man had such a large influence on Blues and Rock n’ Roll, shouldn’t he, then, be remembered more as a member of the 27 club? The myth makes for an awesome Rock legend.
