A Prostate Warmer, circa 1918.It was not uncommon for dubious health products of the early 20th century to also cause a great amount of undue humiliation.  Such was a relic of medical quackery called the “Prostate Warmer”, which was popular in the early 1900’s.  When used the prostate warmer was claimed to cause good health by “stimulating the abdominal brain”. The device consisted of a 4.25 inch probe connected to a nine foot wire with a blue lightbulb, which was plugged into a socket.  When the probe was inserted into the… ya know… the person’s backside, the light bulb lit up proving that the curative effects of electricity were working.   -- source link
