geekyvamp: citrustree: my sister just taught me some fabulous words in german … one means that feeling when you are embarrassed or ashamed for other people (Fremdschämen), the other is for when you feel joy when other people are doing bad (Schadenfreude) and then one is for when you’re grumpy in the mornings. Ohhhh those are great! schadenfreude has been popularised in Anglophonic countries in recent years, but I think these others need to be too - they’re all part of y day-to-day experience.
