spoiled-lil-kitten: What is it about bruises? It’s carrying him with me for days on end. It’s looking down (or sitting down) and having that moment of falling back into the utter bliss of the connection we forged during play. It’s being claimed without saying it or wearing a collar It’s feeling strong, and remembering my dedication when life seems to be building up to too much. If I can look at deep bruises and know “that passed and I was a warrior in the process” then those stupid spreadsheets that have me tearing my hair out and bills that beg to be paid are nothing I can’t handle. It’s purpose. It’s protection. It’s the truest connection possible. And the marks make it easily reached just through the sight or the quick twinge of pain they give for the week after they blossomed. Devotional Training: Eloquent. -- source link
