copperbadge:Okay but consider: train pirates.NaClYoHo day five kicked off with a trip to the doctor to sort out some issues with prescription coverage, and given what a pain in the ass that is I almost counted it. But I got home and decided there was some stuff I could do, so I threw on a podcast and got to work. I’m removing a lot of junk from where it doesn’t belong, and I’ve made two staging areas, one for “recycle” and one for “figure out what to do with this” which I will deal with on later NaClYoHo projects. I cleared some shelving that needs to somehow be installed (or done away with; it was cheap and doesn’t appear to work with my walls) and then got cracking on cleaning my workbench. I mended two pairs of pyjamas, put some stray craft supplies away, set aside some craft projects that needed different supplies, and did a few crafts. Technically crafting is not a chore, not in the same way doing most of this is, but I just wanted to sit down and accomplish something. The Rail Passengers Association sent me a postcard with a little “build a train out of me!” design printed on it, so: Pirate Train. It’s drying now. I also sewed a pair of arm warmers from a pair of socks, but I’ve had an ask in my inbox for ages for a tutorial about how that is done, so the photos of Project Salty Armwarmer will be a separate post.I’m feeling pretty accomplished. My entire dining/living room are now clean except for the box of paperwork that I have to sift through and the posters under the plexiglass that I need to frame once I get new frames, but both of those are fairly unobtrusive. If I can keep the table clean I might even get to put up a little tree this year. We’ll see how the cats cope with that.
