I was particularly keen to design the endpapers for my book Forgotten Gods. The endpapers are an important introduction, the first page you see when you open the book. I created a pattern that brings together all the symbols you see in Forgotten Gods, from the plant interlacing at the beginning to the celestial symbols in the final chapters. I chose burgundy and gold, the gold that is obviously found in my illustrations and the burgundy that is used in the clamshell boxes of the Celestial edition.
