The only notable thing about her was her unique friendship with Steven Grant. He was a bit of an oddball, but she supposed she was too. The two knew everything about each other, or so she believed. One day, Steven knocks on her door, disheveled, speaking in a weird American accent. He hands her an amulet and asks her to keep it safe for him before rushing off. Babbs mistakenly thinks nothing of it and heads back to bed. The next day, she finds that the amulet is nowhere to be found. Instead, she discovers the same strange mark she first witnessed on the amulet seared to her back. Inexplicable abilities come with it that leave Babbs with dozens of questions. Days later, Steven shows up at her door again with a confession to make; his name is actually Marc Spector and Steven Grant was never real.
