spookysouthwest:In January of 2013, in the desert outside of Vail, Arizona, Geraldine Vargas found this pile of thousands of mysterious purple orbs. They were moist, soft, and squishy to the touch, oozing a watery substance when squeezed. Assuming them to be something natural, she immediately contacted a zoologist, who had to confess that she had never seen anything like it. She then contacted the local news station; their attempts to positively identify the purple spheres were also unsuccessful. Their best guesses were either some unknown type of slime mold or fungus, as was found in Alaska in 2011. A non-organic hypothesis suggested that they could be a particular florist’s tool that slowly releases hydration to keep cut plants looking fresh, as was found in England in 2012; that doesn’t explain why they were out there in the first place. There’s also the idea that these strange spheres have an otherworldly origin. The town of Vail is close to Tucson, which has a high rate of unusual UFO and strange light sightings [x], including a second moon, a giant mirror on the mountain, and gray cubes gliding across the desert sand. These eerie events, including the presence of a jellylike alien substance dropped in a pile in the desert, could all be linked to the presence of the air force base near Tucson.
