That’s why his last moment when he ran towards Shindo’s dead body while clutching the bookmark and destroyed along with it hit me really hard. Until the very last, he’s true to his feelings (even after knowing what Shindo did to him). He’s still the best thing despite all those things that happened to the show. I love him.
