socialistsephardi:csolarstorm:optometrictzedek:socialistsephardi:Yeah so this is real It’s on his twitterFfsAre y'all still upset about punching Nazis? Y'all still gonna equate hate speech with free speech and validate literal FUCKING NAZIS?I saw this a few hours ago and made the following facebook status about it: This is the man who asked “are Jews people”This is the man who Heil’d an entire room of White SupremacistsThis is the man who founded the modern neo-nazi (“alt-right”) movementThis is the man whose Master’s thesis showed “a clear interest in radical traditionalist right-wing German philosophy, a semi-fascist type thing.” (his own words)Concentration camps and the Final Solution has been on this man’s mind long before he was ever punched by antifascists. Don’t buy this victim-blaming propaganda. ***Richard Spencer was punched because he wants to see me dying in Auschwitz, he does not want to see me dying in Auschwitz because he was punched a few days ago***It’s not about what Richard Spenser himself deserves. It’s about preserving a safe public space for people to live in without being physically assaulted, and not escalating the political conflict to violence, where it can be reciprocated and harm people who can’t defend themselves. You don’t have to care about Spencer’s safety to say that he should not be punched, because nobody should be punched in public. If you trust the power of your ideas, you shouldn’t have to use your fists to quiet others. If your ideas aren’t taking hold, it’s usually a sign to listen to other people and adapt.I hate to tell you this, but they’re already violent. They’re already killing us. You suggest that we should let mass opinion dictate our morals, well according to mass opinion, which is slowly getting better, I deserve to die. Pacifism is a luxury and that kind of thinking exposes your privilege. Punch the neonazis. It’s that simple. They’re neonazis. They will kill us without batting an eye. -- source link
