art-of-swords: Infantry Sword Dated: 18th century Culture: Italian Measurements: overall length 103.5 cm The sword features a straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section, the first part being grooved with the inscription “SAHAGOM” between the effigy of Passau wolf and the crowned marks “P” and “X”. The iron hilt is finely chiselled with floral motifs, while the pommel of scarce type, of round section, is thickening toward the top and is decorated en suite.
