It’s funny how your perceptions change when you study things enough. For instance, before I got into costume history I didn’t care about costumes in movies, and now I yell at the screen every time there’s an inaccuracy. I get a similar reaction from 1765-1780 dates on a gown that is very obviously from around 1780. Does it really matter in the end?
