gffa:gffa:STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH:  Anakin trying to deal with Overwhelming Feelingsaka, Whenever Anakin doesn’t know how to parse what he’s feeling or what he wants to do about it, when conflicted over this raging storm inside him, he bows his head and looks away, unable to look at the person directly anymore@thewillowbends replied:You forgot the last step, @gffa​ - he follows it up with a dumb decision!OH MY POOR DUMB SON, he really does, doesn’t he?- Talking to Padme about how he thinks nobody trusts him and he wants to be more than just a regular Jedi, he wants it aaaaalllll:  IS GOING TO DECIDE TO FIND A WAY TO STOP DEATH NO MATTER WHAT- Talking to Obi-Wan who is telling him how proud he is of Anakin and that with a little patience he’ll genuinely earn everything he wants:  IS GOING TO TURN DARK SIDE AND MURDER A BUNCH OF CHILDREN- Talking to Palpatine who reveals he’s the Sith Lord but he can definitely stop death so joooooinnnnn him:  IS GOING TO JOIN THE SITH DESPITE THAT THIS IS THE GUY WHO ORCHESTRATED THE WAR HE LOATHES SO MUCH AND RESPONSIBLE FOR SO, SO MUCH MURDER AND DEATHI love Anakin Skywalker so much because I understand what leads him to all of these choices and my heart breaks for him, but also they are such terrible decisions.  I love that he looks away from the person he’s talking to, unable to meet their gaze, because he’s just so full of feelings that he’s never really wanted to let go of (he wants more, more, more–he tries to go through the process of Letting Go, but in his heart he’s never actually wanted that, he knows he shouldn’t, he knows he should be balanced, he knows that he should be even-keeled, but his heart has never wanted that, he wants this storm of feelings, he wants to be consumed by them, he’s alive when he’s at the extremes of happiness and rage, rather than a smooth middle ground).He bows his head and lowers his gaze, full of anxiety and fear and guilt.  He fidgets with that giant robe of his, tucks his hands into his sleeves and hunches in on himself or twiddles with the hem of it, anything to not have to look his own feelings dead on, unable to stare into them, as they are akin to the rest of him–like looking at a supernova. -- source link
