mortspourlafrance:Freedom Summer Feuilly & Combeferre – because Feuilly and Combeferre are bros
mortspourlafrance:Freedom Summer Feuilly & Combeferre – because Feuilly and Combeferre are bros in every verse, and Feuilly has a lot of feels about the Berlin Wall, okay?No one really knows where Feuilly came from, she just started showing up at the Freedom School Combeferre was teaching around the second week of the summer. It became clear pretty fast, though, that despite her lack of any remotely high-level education, she was way above the level of anyone else there; and somewhere along the way she became more of an assistant teacher to Combeferre than a pupil. So, as Combeferre realized that Feuilly is actually way more educated than she has any right to be considering her circumstances, she started making casual conversation about history and politics and current events. Mutual love of knowledge turned into a friendship, and now all Les Amis just kind of live in slight awe of this girl who barely scrapes a living working full time, and still somehow manages to show up to all their meetings and actions full of ideas and plans and hope.I really love this AU! Of all the times to set a modern(ish) AU in America, the civil rights movement has always seemed like the best to me. This is the AU I would create if I had enough focus to actually do so. It makes me so happy to see someone else’s awesome ideas. Thanks for sharing this mental playground. -- source link
