aspen-witch: Alter in a Jar I’m taking a road trip, and of course I wanted to bring my alter with me but I couldn’t. I love the travel alters I’ve seen, but I don’t always have the time to set it up. So, I made myself an “alter in a jar” to take with me! It’s not a perfect solution, since I can’t arrange the elements individually, but I’ve found that doesn’t particularly bother me with this. I have included a sea shell to represent water, a small piece of redwood bark to represent the earth, cinnamon for fire, dried dandelion leaves for air, and rose quartz for the spirit. I also included a juniper sprig as a piece of home when I travel, and blue topaz to help with my social anxiety. I sealed the jar and voila, travel alter! It’s small enough to fit in my purse or a pocket discretely (nosy family members), and allows me to worship the earth throughout my journey. -- source link
