Absolutely glorious day in Penarth yesterday, enjoying winter sunshine on the waterfrontI am loving my new camera - the zoom is amazing, my old camera had almost no zoom at all by comparison. I mean, seriously - see the islands of Flatholm and Steepholm in that first picture above? If I tried to zoom in on those with my old camera, I’d get nothing. With my new camera? Boom. Beautiful.Standing on the pier, this is the regular view around the headland toward Cardiff BayBut with the new camera, I can zoomAnd zoom some more. Look at that - I got the Barrage, the Pierhead and the Millennium Centre all tight up close in one shot, with the foothills of the valleys beyond. And because we have hardly any big buildings in the city, you can’t even tell there’s an entire city in between those buildings here and the hils beyond!And finally, here’s a dredger pootling around the Channel doing nothing much, with a lovely view of Avonmouth on the Somerset coast beyond -- source link
