Honestly, I feel embarrassed ON BEHALF OF ALL OF YOU. I’m so mad I can’t believe no one showed me thisIt’s been more than two years since I made this joke, and to this day it remains one of the proudest comedic achievements of my life. Let me break it down in bullet point format: Despite the similarities in spelling, nobody ever thinks of of “banana” and “mañana” sounding like each other (because of course they don’t.) This would be the perfect quip to say to somebody who just slipped on one of these in Mario Kart. “Hasta mañana” literally translates to “until tomorrow.” And I like the idea that everything was going great… until bananas. Despite my love for this joke, I constantly forget that I made it. But on the rare occasion when it randomly shows up in my notifications, I always think to myself, “Man, that is one brilliant joke.” Man, that last bullet point just gets better every time I stumble on this again. -- source link
