orangeresearcher:This week has been tough and I was really not looking forward to spending the weekend just studying and doing my social media scroll into infinity thing at night, so working on the Pipes Table these past few days and decorating for the pictures (it’s so relaxing and I really enjoy decorating even just for one picture) has made me relax a lot despite everything going on! The table was inspired by a Scandinavian design that I found in Considered Magazine, an independent print magazine about Scandinavian Design (or at least I think?) that I picked up at my favorite print magazine store in New York, I live, currently. The table was bright red and I wanted to do something similar, but as I was trying my table with wood textures, it looked too cool and chic to be just a solid color. I then made it in my standard five metals and did a concrete version, with colors chosen from the @academiapalettes‘s Historian Palette, mostly browns, but I picked a green (as pictured), a blue, and a purple to accent the natural stone textures.
