I spent the day walking the Nakasendo in the Kiso Valley researching another project for a client. The Nakasendo was an old stone road that once connected Edo (modern-day Tokyo) to Kyoto during the Edo period (1603-1868). We started in Magome-juku in Gifu and walked to Tsumago-juku in Nagano and then on to Nagiso with lots of little interesting spots along the way. ———————————— Photo Credit: Me Magome Juku, Gifu Prefecture Follow me for regular Japan content .
