“Being butch has always been a happy place for me. Have people made my life a living hell because I, when you really boil it down, prefer pants to a dress? Absolutely. But, does my place of rest, when my brain has settled, and my heart is in a calm rhythm, feel like my most true and connected self? Absolutely. Do people tell me at every show how much it means to them to see someone that looks like them standing in front of them, let alone on tv (in admittedly the tiniest amount)? Yes, they do. These are experiences I am eternally grateful for and wouldn’t have if I “fit” into someone else’s idea of what it is to be a person.” - @rheabutcher - Directly quoted from our Work & Professional Edition (Issue 5) by @esthergoodboy . .
