afaerytalelife:Winter Recipes ― Maple SlushWhen the world outdoors is covered in frosty white, it looks like a giant dish of vanilla ice cream. Vanilla is fine, as far as it goes, but vanilla and maple are better yet! This delicious recipe comes from the maple syrup-producing regions of New England and Canada. You’ll have to wait for a few inches of fresh snow to fall, so be sure to keep these ingredients on hand. Maple Slush goes well with shortbread cookies and a crackling fire.1 cup whole milk½ cup real maple syrup1 teaspoon vanilla extractClean, fresh snow* Stir milk, maple syrup, and vanilla together in a large bowl.* Carry bowl outside. With a large spoon, scoop snow into bowl. Stir enough snow into the other ingredients to absorb them fully.* Go back inside and scoop slush into smaller bowls. -- source link
