Jsuki; Higuchi Yuko’s “BABEL” Illustration Book Latest illustration book release from my all-time favourite illustrator, Higuchi Yuko! I’ve been a fan of hers since 2 or 3 years ago, and I buy all of her books (would buy more of her collaboration goods too, but it is impossible to buy everything T_T) In this book named “BABEL”, Higuchi references and explores the Tower of Babel, that was original recorded in the Genesis 11:1-9. The original story was how God came and scattered men, whom once spoke the same tongue and had a common goal, into men that spoke different languages and who lived in different parts of the world. In short, Higuchi redrew the story in her own world view. I actually worked on multilingualism and multiculturalism last year on my own personal final year project. I almost wish this book came out a year ago, so I could reference it too. Plus, the printing is so gorgeous (just look at the gold lines), and not to mention all that detail. First-press editions come with one blank Me-chan card (it’s one of the alien looking characters inside lol). You can now buy this HERE. -- source link
