Inktober Day #31 is the one, the only Morticia Addams from the Addams Family. Yep,ending the Inktober challenge with beautifully dark woman who started it all when it came to Gothic and Dark characters. The original woman in black herself. What’s there to say? Morticia is just an amazing character (the whole Addams Family in general) and it’s not surprising why she has a legacy. From her debut in the original Addams Family comics from the 1950s to her portrayal in the 60s live action sitcom portrayed by the lovely Carolyn Jones to her revival in the classic 90s’ Addams Family films portrayed by the decadently sinister Angelica Huston and you know what? Even Ellie Harvey who portrayed the character in the late 90s reboot “The New Addams Family” who was low-key enjoyable (though doesn’t hold a candle to Carolyn Jones and Angelica Huston’s portrayals).There’s just so much to like about this woman and it’s not surprising why so many darkly-inclined people look up to her as some sort of role model, I know I do (specifically Carolyn Jones’ portrayal lol). So with that, considering that Morticia was the woman who paved the way for others after her, I just had to save one of the best for laugh.And well, that concludes Inktober 2018 for me.
