sweetlittlevampire: My mother was watching The “Lord of the Rings” recently, and I sat down and doodled some elf gowns and architecture and landscapes because man, that aesthetic…and recalled these guys.Which you have seen a thousand times on my blog already. The thing is though: Posting them like this, together, actually helps me to stay within that universe, aesthetic-wise, and even gives me inspiration for other things. I do that quite often with my drawings…I only rarely hit “Post” lol. Also I am, like, really fond of these, and I love to dwell in that universe, if only for thinking about What If’s, and doodling random things that are probably completely irrelevant. It just makes me happy. These were a joy to draw, and there is at least one more - no, two more - that I wanna try my hand at one of these days.So here we have the Gusu Elves (or the Lan Party, as I lovingly like to call them), and the Yunmeng Elves, side by side. I quite like them like this, although it’s still not my favourite combination as far as triptychs go. You may want to click on them to enlarge them. If you want to view them separately, here they are, in the order in which they first have been posted: Lan Wangji ♦ Lan Sizhui ♦ Wei Wuxian ♦ Lan Xichen ♦ Jiang Yanli ♦ Jiang Cheng Plus a random sad Elf Lord Lan Wangji, who I would have loved to include in teh above compilation, but ended up looking hella weird, so he gets a special mention instead.Which one is your favourite? Let me know!(It’s so hard to decide for me…when it comes to symbolism, then definetely Wangji, but something about the colours I chose for Sizhui and his background draws my eye in immediately.)Tagging @bilboo because these are her babies as well. ♥ -- source link
