mypinholepinups: Edouard Taylor. Overcoming early ill-heath this Anglo-French rider started his career at the age of fifteen. At the age of sixteen he already turned professional and he was third in the French national championship middle distance in 1896. On July 4, 1897, he recorded his first victory in a race over fifty kilometres. In 1898 he rode for several months in the United States. In 1899 he became a French champion. In 1900 he was second at the world championship and won the ‘Golden Wheel’ in Berlin, among other things. In 1902 he had to end his sporting career for health reasons.
