padawanblogging:Shaak Ti in Season 6 of The Clone Wars. One of the reasons I love the Clone Wars is that their animation of facial features is so good and dynamic, especially in the later seasons.Shaak Ti is one of the characters who is almost always shown to be at calm, at peace. It would have been easy for her face to have been static, or for her to always have a pleasing expression on her face, as in the first screen shot where she is beautiful and she is almost smiling. But she is allowed to have facial expressions, like in the second shot where she waits for Palpatine to interview Fives. Her eyes are closed, she’s meditating, but there is a downward tilt to her mouth. But it was the third one that really struck me. She’s pursuing Fives, but she loses him. The blast doors close on him just as she is gaining, as she is about to catch him. Though the shot doesn’t include it, her hand is slammed against the door, and she is visibly upset in this screenshot. She is angry. Her mouth is wide, just as if she is about to scowl, and she is frowning.Nothing particularly deep about the fourth one I just think she’s beautiful. -- source link
