It is a Trajan aureus minted114-117 AD.The obverse shows alaureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Trajan with the inscription: ‘IMPTRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PM TRP’The reverse has Trajanseated on a platform extending his hand to the supplicant King Parthamasiris ofArmenia who is advancing towards the platform with both hands extended. Behindhim are five Roman soldiers holding spears and standards.
