According to a blog post by Momotaro Dentetsu project supervisor Akira Sakuma, he along with Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama and Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii cameo in The Return of Godzilla as members of a crowd running away from Godzilla. Because they were laughing while running, Sakuma says they were not shot in close-up.
