themeparkart: “Concord Bridge” Herb Ryman, 1969During the initial design phase of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the Imagineers needed an area that would act as an east coast sister to Disneyland’s lushly-detailed New Orleans Square. Taking inspiration from the old planned side street of Disneyland’s Main Street, Liberty Square was born. The area utilizes east coast colonial history and is set around the American Revolution. Guests can find The Hall of Presidents attraction as well as The Haunted Mansion in this land. Like New Orleans Square, Herb Ryman’s layered concept art, seen here, was essential to establishing the tone and feel of Liberty Square.Art ©️Disney I’d trade my life for the ability to do this, god I love his work -- source link
