I agree with swaybound. I definitely didn’t sign up for a D/s relationship to be miserable all the time. Granted, moments of misery can be a bittersweet delight, but in the long term, my Sir’s responsibility is at least to take care of my needs. I’m not sure that anyone can actually be responsible for another person’s happiness. Happiness is something that we can decide for ourselves. That said, if one’s needs are being fulfilled, it seems to me that happiness would just naturally follow. swaybound: Maybe not in the short term. But I do believe that a submissive’s long term happiness is one of the primary responsibilities of a good Dom. This is what (hopefully) keeps us well away from abusive territory. I am not talking about fulfilling a sub’s wishlist though. Keeping a submissive happy certainly requires an ample amount of discomfort and absence of choice, of course. sirs-littleone: Of course it doesn’t matter. That shouldn’t even be a question. slavegirllori-deactivated201101: She’s not happy is she? Does it matter, that’s the question? -- source link
