Andy King of Netflix’s Fyre Fest Documentary Wants to Use His Viral Fame to Help Fyre WorkersAfter the instant popularity of both Netflix and Hulu’s Fyre Festival documentaries, Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened and Fyre Fraud, respectively, the crew behind the notoriously disastrous festival has quickly become Internet famous — especially Andy King, one of the producers of Fyre Fest. In the Netflix doc, we discover that Andy was willing to go to whatever lengths to make the festival happen, including almost doing anythingso that a customs officer would let them bring the festival’s water supply through.Andy almost immediately became a meme, and he’s aware of his newfound social status; in fact, he’s actually flattered by it. Netflix posted a mini interview with Andy to its Twitter account in which he says, “I’m blown away with the response of the documentary. Completely blown away. I’m now a noun, a verb, an adjective.
