Yeezy- Is his message nude basics?People have a lot of opinions about Kanye West. It’s hard not to, with his narcissistic remarks and his rude outbursts at award shows or even twitter. But something he always takes a lot of pride in, especially in interviews, is his Yeezy collection. I don’t really have a problem with Kanye, so I feel like I am a (mostly) unbiased person coming in and looking at his collection. Now, first looking at the many collections he has released, it is clear that he loves the nude color pallet. And not just the nude color, but also interested in showing most of the women’s/men’s bodies. Ok, that’s totally fine. The thing I have an issue with is that he releases these collections to a huge audience every NYFW, and each collection looks exactly the same, or are too casual to show at such a big event as NYFW. I do have to credit him in his great use of diversity with models (which he actually got flack for actually requesting only “mixed race” models this past season). However, he has spoken out multiple times that people put his fashion line down due to not liking him personally, but I disagree with that. People are putting his collections down because they just aren’t that creative. If he wants more respect, he needs to create more clothes that are worthy of being respected.  -- source link
