I’ve been wanting to get this tattoo for years now, as a tribute to my Jewish heritage and my commitment to myself to be more honest in all aspects of my life and work.‘Emet’ means 'truth’ in Hebrew, but it’s also the symbol said to have been put on the foreheads of clay golems in Jewish mythology; in a way, I think we’re all golems, creatures formed of earth and mud.If you remove the first letter, Aleph, on the right, it forms the word 'met’, which means 'death’ (also said to be the way to stop a golem). I’ve always taken that to mean that sometimes there is death is part of truth. Posted a week ago on my patreon. -- source link
