MORE ABOUT NEMESIS? ALWAYS. I LOVE THAT PLANET.In the previous episode, there were a couple of long discussions about Nemesis and the Chamber of Darkness (here and here) talking about Sailor Nemesis and what exactly was down there and there’s another line from the manga when Rubeus is talking about it:“–but, it’s disturbing, the way the corpses stay preserved without decay.”This is the second time we’ve seen the image of that person in chains, the one that looked like it was wearing a skirt in the previous panel, and Saphir says after this that lately he gets the feeling that the planet is acting with a will of its own.Every time I come to this part of the story, I cannot help thinking that that’s Sailor Nemesis down there and that she’s been hijacked by Death Phantom and she’s been corrupted and she’s been down there so long that she’s turned to little more than wrath and fury at what’s been done to her. We know that Sailor Soldiers can be evil, we later see Sailor Galaxia isn’t on the side of good at all, influenced by Chaos. And given that Death Phantom is an incarnation of Chaos, it makes sense to me that he could influence or at least warp Sailor Nemesis in the same way.And that’s sort of horrifying. This Sailor Soldier that’s trapped in that room where the corpse of her manifestation just stays like that, she’s not really alive, but she’s not able to go back to the Galaxy Cauldron, either. She’s twisted and warped, these people are digging into the core of her very planet and using her. Of course she’d be angry, of course she’d have a will of her own, of course she’d hate them and not want to just do whatever they tried to force her into.Of course she’s dangerous, she’s a Sailor Soldier and you don’t fuck around with them like this without consequences. -- source link
