madeinthenude: Nude Research. Did you know there is a nudist reference library? Yup. Nudism isn’t just a lifestyle, it’s a culture. Like any human culture it has a history and important lessons to learn. For beginners and veterans there’s always something new. Something we didn’t know that could help us out tomorrow. If you’re just getting started, there is a vast wealth of information at the ready. Learning the history of nudism is a good way to feel more connected to the culture and understand why it’s important for today’s society. It builds a strong foundation of understanding that helps us intelligently voice why it’s important. On a community level, there are many things we’re doing today that have been done before. Like combating local pressure to close a beach. Or dealing with the press. Learning what to avoid or embrace can save a lot of time and effort. It doesn’t just have to be history either. There are plenty of lessons nudism teaches us. It can be major things like how to accept our body. Minor discoveries about ourselves that we never knew before. Look at the forum boards for common misconceptions textiles have about nudism. Mistakes new nudists often make. Or general questions we all have about nudity. All the information we could want is out there. Give it a shot. You never know what you’ll find or learn. Happy researching. Text by Made in the Nude.
