All That Remains - Spikes Asia Top 3 Finalist for Student Print AdJust this September of this year, I decided to join the Student Creative Award for Print of Spikes Asia. But this time I believed I was more prepared. With a live brief set by WWF Singapore, the contest asked for a print ad that encouraged people to make informed choices in buying sustainable seafood.After days of observing and getting insights, I discovered that we only see the value of something once it’s gone. Take the things you see in a museum for example. Artifacts and objects that were significant to mankind’s history are conserved and exhibited. I wanted my print ad to suggest that message. By displaying the fish as remains, the copy says that if we continue to buy seafood not coming from sustainable sources, the fish will soon become a distant memory. Weeks later, I was informed that my entry made it to the Top 3. To think that it has been judged by industry gurus, I am more than grateful to reach that far. I may not have won but the experience of helping a non-profit organization close to my heart was truly rewarding. -- source link
