Here’s another “refurb” pistol I just finished. I sure love doing these.. This one is a 1943 Remington Rand. Sometime in the 80’s or 90’s it was “modernized” and all the correct original parts were gone gone. Luckily the frame and slide was in not terrible shape. I welded it up. New Frame/Slide fit was done. New barrel & tighter bushing. All new Hot Rod internals. Nice clean crisp 2.8lb trigger with original one piece short trigger. And I applied the original parkerized finish and a pair of OG correct WWII grips. I was really careful to keep all the original roll marks and armory stamps intact. Also careful to not clean up the back of the frame slide too much. The goal was to have a tight fitting, smooth shooting vintage 1911 that appears stock. I did add my own “JGJ” stamp under the grips….
