Students in Art 284: Craft and Culture, taught by Prof. Gerri Ondrizek last semester, made more than 40 hand-thrown ceramic bowls to help raise funds for Zenger Farm’s CSA Food Stamp Program. This Gifting the Bowl Project is part of a June 26 Juneteenth Edition of Zenger’s Community Chef Dinner Series. The Reed studio-art course explored the craft of ceramics and glass, their historical and cultural context, and contemporary culture’s engagement with these craft forms. -- source link
