The mind is like New York. Energetic and noisy is one area. Quiet and desolate in the other. An array of smells and sounds and images… some you could swear are from different planets, and others so interconnected that they wouldn’t exist without one another. Sometimes the noise is too much, other times you can’t stand the silence. This can be tamed by traveling to another area, one that gels better with your mood. Like New York, there is an infinite amount of things awaiting to be learned and experienced in your mind. They are there, you just have to look around. Like New York, by some wild chance, one often finds themself alone even though a sea of occurrence is roaring around them. Like New York, you get sick of it… even though it’s damn beautiful. You get sick of a beautiful, magical thing. And that’s okay. Because you’ll always be reminded again just how beautiful and magical that thing is. Not always in a nice fairytale way. It could be through some twisted depressing manner. It could be right before you swear you’re about to crack, you see something amazing. And it’s the reminder that everything is amazing. And you should be a part of all this amazing shit. Because, well, it’s who you are. -- source link
