I own 33 pairs of shoes, and I’m doing my best to minimize my “collection” and I’m also swearing off buying a new pair of shoes in 2020.Today’s shoes were bought for specific occasions. The fancy dress shoes were the shoes I wore to my wedding, and to make sure they stay as perfect as possible, I keep them in the original box, and I’ve worn them a few times to other events as they’re my only fancy polishable shoes. When you buy shoes for a wedding, you YOLO, so these were $150.The colorful Asics were specifically bought for my honeymoon trip with Molly through London, Paris, and Barcelona. I bought a Coogi track jacket that has all the colors on this shoe first, and it honestly took me a few months before I found the perfect shoe to match the jacket. These were super comfortable for the long days walking through the European cities. I got a pretty good deal on them as well, as they were only $50.The fire red Van’s with the sweet flames down the side came from my Japan trip that happened just a couple months ago. I wore a pair of Reebok’s to Japan that Molly dubbed “my old man shoes,” because honestly, they looked like sneakers an old man would wear. I didn’t realize how well worn they were, so I burned a hole through the toe on my third day in Japan. I should have bought a good pair of walking shoes as I averaged 11 miles a day walking in Japan, but I really, really liked these fire red Vans. I wore the heck through them as you can see, I wore them for a total of 18 days, and now they’re on the retirement shelf for now. As they’re suede, they’re going to be too warm for summer wear, so I’ll bust them out next winter.Shoes 23, 24, and 25 of 33. -- source link
