sleepyblossom: I don’t know whether anyone not in my situation could possibly relate to this, but there are a lot of creeps online and in person that try to gain my attention, and sometimes worse. The fact that I am an amputee neither causes shame nor pride in me, but it is a fact of my life that it would be irresponsible to hide or deny. Yet it constantly makes me a target for fetishists and stalkers. I have no intent to stop calling attention to myself or that aspect of me; in fact I have all the intent to turn around people’s perspectives of disability.
