completeoveranalysis: [24](Inevitable Acid Tokyo spoilers follow)Ashura-ou is utterly iconic okUp to this point we’ve had a long line of super powerful otherworldly beings identify Syaoran’s inner strength of soul and know that he’s good enough to achieve great things. But here we have the opposite. Instead of just identifying any particular strength, Ashura-ou is the first to talk about Syaoran’s origins as a clone for what it is. They do it in a vague enough way that the audience can’t decipher the clue entirely at this point, but what they do instead is give Syaoran the assurance that their origins don’t matter. Syaoran doesn’t know what this means yet, but he will later! And Ashura knows this. Ashura knows how Syaoran’s future will play out and has hinted as much throughout the arc, but in the midst their very own tragedy coming to its full conclusion Ashura turns to Syaoran and tells him that none of that matters, and that as long as Syaoran never gives up his wish, he can make it happen. It’s all the more powerful coming in the moment where the moon is literally crumbling beneath their feet since it wasn’t powerful enough to fulfill Ashura’s own wish. But all of that also doesn’t matter. Ashura-ou knows that Syaoran has the strength of will to make his wish come true, and takes their final moments to make sure that he hears it from someone before it’s too late, and before Syaoran’s wish ends up the same as Ashura’s. -- source link
