Taíno rattle (900 – 1550, Dominican Republic). Made of wood and shaped like a rodent, this rattle is 31.8 x 7.6 x 7.6 cm. It is one of the few surviving instruments of the Taíno people, and may have been used for ceremonial purposes. There are four large wooden pellets within its chamber. -- source link
